Clearspan Aluminium Framed Marquees

Frame marquees are the most popular type of tent in use in the marquee industry in the UK. The majority of companies use frame marquees (also referred to under many different names including "aluminium frame marquees", "clearspan marquees", "clear span frame structures" and "frame pavilions", etc). There is no standard term for these tents, although "frame marquees" is the most commonly used. Essentially these tents are modular box frame aluminium structures (see bottom photo).

Inside a frame marquee

The photo above shows a 9M wide frame marquee with window walls, pleated linings and coconut matting flooring. A fairly standard example of a frame marquee for a wedding or private party. Aluminium framed marquees differ from traditional marquees in that there are no centre poles and guy ropes around the outside. This gives them the advantage of being able to fit into a smaller plot and internally the lack of centre poles give more flexibility for table plans. Frame marquees also have the advantage of being able to be joined together to make larger structures or butted up to buildings.

The above photos shows three frame marquees for a corporate hospitality event. This large event marquee has service tents to the rear and on one end.

Frame marquee party

Marquee framework

The above photo shows the modular nature of frame marquees which are made up of box section aluminium parts joined together in "bays" and then covered with PVC roof sheets and walls. Widths vary from 3M to over 20M and bays are usually 3M or 5M lengths.
