| The two main types of
event tent available in the UK are
traditional pole
marquees and aluminium
frame marquees (sometimes called 'frame tents' or
'clear span
marquees' or 'frame pavilions').
To illustrate the two types of
marquees see the two photos right (both photos show the
construction of the tent from the inside for illustration; however, in
most cases you would have decorative internal linings which would hide
the fabric and parts).
Traditional tents are made of canvas or PVC and have
centre poles for support and guy ropes around the outside for stability.
Frame marquees are free standing, made from a modular aluminium
framework with PVC roof sheets and walls. |
