independent firm of Penrose have been designing,
manufacturing and hiring marquees in
Cornwall and the West Country since 1840. Penrose
craftsmen designed and built huge circus tents for the
original Billy Smarts Circus and many of the same skills
are still being used by our craftsmen today.
The Penrose reception service includes windows, entrance
porches, beautiful interior linings, reception lighting,
furniture and dance floors. We provide high quality
carpet fitted to the ground.
Our range of reception marquees is unrivalled. Round,
oval, square or rectangular, few gardens are too small
or irregular for a Penrose marquee.
With our unique experience in the marquee hire business
our experience has shown that the ambience and
atmosphere in a canvas marquee is far superior to a PVC
marquee. For this reason as well as environmental
factors we have a policy of only manufacturing canvas
marquees.
Our marquees can accommodate up to 5,000 guests for
parties and balls, all fully dressed and carpeted. We
pride ourselves on carrying on the tradition Penrose
started in 1840, Prompt, friendly service with attention
to detail.
